Foundation Course in Drug and Alcohol Awareness |

This one-day course is open to non-specialist service providers who come into contact with clients who may have alcohol and drug issues.
It is also open to workers new to this area of work and is suitable for others who may need to develop their knowledge of drug and alcohol issues.
The course will cover:
Basic definitions of commonly used terms
Drug facts and drug myths
Types of drugs
Drug use and theories of addictions
Classifying substances-legally, socially, physiologically
Drugs in context-historical and current drug legislation
Referral and the range of service provision in Norfolk
