This course is suitable for non substance misuse specialist front line delivery staff who work with children and young people and aims to give those who attend the information and skills they need in order to:
a) identify children and young people who may be using drugs and/or
alcohol
b) identify their drug and/or alcohol related needs
c) provide basic information on the use of drugs or alcohol
d) refer on appropriately for further advice, support, counselling or
treatment,
should this be required.
